Once you have searched much information about 1D Mark III, this definitely means that you had a passion for it. Although not many people like it, however, if someone felt in love with it, that person will find it really well worth. 1D Mark III is really big and looks extremely "hardcore". It likes a warrior. Just hold your 1D Mark III, and you look really cool than ever!
1D Mark III is as big as a pizza. Definitely, you need to have a good health if you want to use this camera. The camera is encased from head to toe, and it can withstand falls, bumps, severe weather conditions, storms, snow ... 1D Mark III itself will help you look stand out in the crowd.

Let's look at the super fast shutter speed of 1D Mark III
Duytom’s reason mentions about this firstly because it is a main strength of 1D Mark III. With the terribly fast autofocus ability of this camera and the shutter speed of 10 frames/sec, 1D Mark III hardly miss any single moment. With 1D Mark III, you can get some magic image that people rarely can see with the normal eyes
However, the weakness of 1D Mark III is the noise in high ISO. For example, the below images was taken at ISO 1600 - 3200, most of them are noise and have poor color

Canon EOS 1D Mark III is very good at photograph landscape and architecture. However, the ISO is only up to 3200 (default). 1D Mark III has lack of details. In low light condition, 1D Mark III can’t equal to Canon EOS 6D and 5D Mark II.

If your needs are portraits, landscapes, then you should select Canon EOS 6D or 5D Mark II, with better image quality, more support and easier to use
If you are a wildlife photographer, explorer who likes to go around the world, the 1D Mark III is exactly for you. This camera is very powerful which helps you record every moment. And it is also very durable no matter how negligent you are!
Important note: Early models of 1D Mark III had autofocus fault. It is difficult to capture fast-moving images, especially in high-temperature. The affected machines have series in range: 501001 and 546561.
The cameras in the list http://downloads.canon.com/cpr/software/camera/serialnumbers_adv.pdf and series higher than 546561 don't have this fault
